I love that you posted this. Eyelashes weighted with snow is such a stirring image. One needs to take solace in the winter aesthetics while freezing one's ass off.
BTW, I saw Chicago was already hit with snow. And how. Boston's expecting it for the first time in the morning.
Love the image "lashes weighted with snow" Soothing and a bit sultry (to me) "coiled breath" and other lovely phrases besides the lashes one Great to see you posting again! (I'm using my oldest blog name of gel now instead of Silvermoon.)
a shout out from texas but i was born and raised in the winter wonderland across the lake > michigan < and i love the hush and the slush from 1,000 miles away anyway

Hey WB. This is nice. I was fooled at first and ended up singing this to the tune of silent night! More fool me eh.
Oh and of course it's summer here :-) The imagery and rhythm were cool and refreshing.
Cheers

Hey there Glenn!

But couldn't get this out of my head.
So glad to hear from you!

Ô¿Ô: So good to hear from you! Yes, this was inspired by our (quasi)arctic blast. Although we had first snow fall this October.
You do know how lovely it is. I couldn't sleep with all its night brightness.
So I wrote.
Something beautifully feline about this...very nice. Have missed you!!

Keith: Thanks for stopping by and the welcome back.
Gel: (I like the name) Thank you so much. I'm working on balance with everything else. I do appreciate your comments, though.
The title is so very appropriate as there is a silence to this work. The hush of a blanket of snow… I can almost hear the pressing of ice you mention.
Hi,
What a soft, sweet, silent poem!
loved reading it...
long time...how are you?
Cheers!
Hi,
Wish you and your family a very Happy New Year 2007!
I love this. It's so peaceful, but also a bit lonely. Makes me think of snow angels.
